Job description DESGAGNÉS MARINE CARGO INC. is recruiting 2nd officers for its cargo vessels trading on the Great Lakes, in Eastern Canada and in the Canadian Arctic.

The 2nd officer assists the Chief officer in transhipment operations. He is also responsible, among other things, for creating the ship’s passage plans, updating publications and charts, and checking/inspecting navigation equipment.

Abilities - Watchkeeping Mate Certificate of Competency or higher (STCW)

- ECDIS Training

- Bridge Resources Management Training

- Valid Marine Medical Certificate

- Certificate of Competency in Marine Emergency Duties (STCW)

- Marine Advanced First Aid certificate

- Two (2) to five (5) years of experience as 2nd officer

- Proficiency in English (Working Language)
