Present yourself:
I had finished the third year of Navigation degree specialising in Maritime Transport at the Gdynia Maritime University. I began my education in shipping industry 8 years ago by enrolling in Technical School of Inland Navigation in Kędzierzyn-Koźle. Ever since then I have been very passionate about maritime industry.
Neither hard work nor extreme challenges scare me. I did a lot of deck and engine maintenance works during my previous maritime experience but bridge duties is something that I am focused on. I am the person who always acts with much care and knowledge about ordered tasks, that is why I ask questions and try to acquire as much as possible on every watch. My inland practice taught me the basics of shipping. Mooring, docking and manoeuvring were my everyday duties that I had to mastered. Furthermore, my studies at the Maritime University enabled me to improve my skills in a scientific direction. I learned about the navigation, watchkeeping, maritime documents, ship's construction, ship's stability etc. During The Independence Sail on board of S/V Dar Młodzieży I was able to apply my summed up experience and knowledge into the life at sea. Through the voyage from Singapore to Panama I was performing the duties of a watch supervisor. This brought me a lot of major tasks which I had to faced. It was a great lesson of responsibility for me.
I must admit that gas carriers would be the most desirable offer for me. Because of that I managed to get apprenticeship on board the oil tanker in order to gain experience in work with liquified cargo. I performed the mooring duties over ship to ship manoeuvers and I learned the rules for the care of cargo during voyage and discharging operations.
