I am Alfredo Alpe, Human Resources Director

Now I am Human Resources Director for Msc Cruises, in rotation time enjoying my well deserved vacation, waiting for the next date and destination.

I am currently disembarked from my last ship few weeks ago and after three fantastic contracts aboard the ships of MSC Cruises (msc Fantasia, msc Seaside, msc Sinfonia) to which I address all my gratitude, I would like to explore new fronts and new opportunities: a new challenge that I feel I can take on based on my experience gained during these years in the field of Human Resources.

As HR Director I am the ambassador of Company Values acting as such, requiring always to make decisions based on ethics, fairness, objectivity and transparency.

I am strategic HR professional, people partner, and member of the Onboarding Executive Committee. I collaborate with leadership teams on board and ashore to develop and implement people strategies and programs aligned with core values and brand direction.

I have knowledge of all aspects of human resources, including MLC2006, employee relations,

performance management, organizational development, disciplinary, learning and development, crew wellness and HR systems.

I lead the HR team by creating a highly engaged, effective, and team-oriented department

and by serving as an advisor and coach to leadership and management on HR policies and processes, as well as providing direction and guidance to HR on all employee issues.

I provide advice and coaching to board management on all individual and departmental performance issues, ensuring fair and consistent performance management procedures.

I efficiently and confidentially handle allegations of harassment and discrimination and conduct prompt and thorough investigations as appropriate.

I collaborate with onboarding and shore management to support and manage procedures and results of employee engagement surveys to continuously improve business results and achieve company goals and I manage the internal transfer program and career progression, advising teammates and managing the internal recruitment and interview process.

I manage the Crew Welfare function, ensuring a balanced delivery of social, recreational, and educational programs to support the well-being and involvement of teammates.

Acting as on-boarding care manager, working with the medical department, to ensure the well-being of teammates.
