I'm a Petty officer in the South African Navy. I have 12 years of maritime experience in marine engineering. I am a competent watchkeeper.

Some of my duties include and are not limited to the maintenance of subsystems such as ventilation refrigeration, fire suppression, flood suppression, propulsion, diesel-electric generators, compressed air blast systems, reverse osmosis etc.

Crane operation falls within my duties, as well as corrective maintenance of the hull at sea, procurement of long voyage spares and equipment, Occupational health and safety and training of subordinate
