To whom it may concern,
My name is Julian Marais, and I am a healthy 28-year-old male, residing in South Africa with a valid passport, Schengen Seafarers visa and Seaman’s book. I am currently located in Portugal.
I pride myself in being a polite, self-motivated individual with a positive attitude. I am comfortable working long hours and recognize the importance of fitting into a tightly functioning crew.
In addition to being a certified deckhand, I have also completed my sailing Internship on both a 42 FT Sail and a 38 FT Motor Catamaran. Further I have previously worked on various Catamarans in Cape Town and Croatia.
My primary focus is committed in obtaining a permanent or seasonal position as a deckhand on a Charter or Private Motor Yacht with the vision of increasing my skill set and knowledge to further enhance the overall yachting experience.
I understand that the competition in this industry is high, but I won’t let you down.
