good morning,
My name is Joseph Rando and I am a certified deck cadet officer.
I am fully vaccinated against Covid 19, I have a valid biennial medical certificate and I am available to embark immediately.
Having obtained a Diploma from the Institute of Navigation and Maritime Science, a Cadet Officer Certificate of Competency and all the maritime training certificates required by STCW 95’ international convention, necessary to join a passenger ship, I hope to continue my career on board one of your vessels, to have the opportunity to grow and develop further skills within a reputable and excellent company and to demonstrate that I am one of those extraordinary people you are seeking.
I am currently employed as Deck Cadet Officer with Augusta II where, working closely with the First Officer, I have been delegated more responsibilities and duties as my contracts proceed and have the opportunity to continue gaining a wealth of experience on board, to further my knowledge and develop my skills. I have been assigned many duties on the bridge and on deck, such as learning the watch, preparing documents for arrivals and departures, tracing the ship's course and waypoints on navigational paper and electronic charts and manual work handling on deck.
I am bilingual from Italian and English parents and have a multi-cultural education, which I consider working for an international company will stand me in good stead.
