Hello, I'm Jerome Joshua Totanes. I am a Marine Engineer graduate and I've been working as an engine rating on international vessels for almost 3 years. I really love to sail and my experience as a seafarer was amazing, but as much as I love working on bulk and tanker vessels, I also dream of working on a superyacht. That is why I'm trying my luck here. Hopefully, I'll be able to prove to myself and to my future employer that I'm worthy of being a crew member on a yacht.
I am certain that I can do all the tasks of the stewards, deckhand, engine boy, motorman or any position that is suitable to my previous job experience.
I am also willing to complete all necessary certificates and training that I'm lacking.
I believe I can be a great addition to the yacht crew as I know that I can perform my job very well, especially if it's about sailing.
I want to work on the engine side of the yacht because it is related to my educational background and previous job experience, but still, I'm willing to take any position that will be offered to me.
I grew up as the son of a fisherman. That's why I love the sea and sailing on it, and that was when I started to dream of becoming a seafarer, but sadly, back then, my parents could not afford to send me to maritime schools. But it didn't stop me from pursuing my dream. I took a scholarship examination and, thank God, I passed it, and now, here I am, a full-pledged seafarer. But I want to take it to the next level. I want to work on the yacht. I know working on the yacht is different from working on big vessels, but I know I can do it and I'm more than willing to learn something new, something amazing, and that is working on the yacht.
I love cycling and watching movies especially, Anime. I also love swimming, diving and fishing.
