I am writing to you about the position of third engineer officer, but firstly, I am very happy to introduce myself. My name is Domenico Antonio Idone. I was born in Reggio Calabria, Italy, on Wednesday 29 January 1992. I am an extremely polite person, with a great dedication to work and a strong sense of responsibility and leadership.
I worked for the Italian army from 11 September 2012 to 11 September 2015 as a military service. In the meantime, I have participated in four national missions (Safe Roads Operation). From November 2016 I started attending the DUCA DEGLI ABRUZZI "ITS (Nautical Academy Institute for Mobility) based in Catania (ITALY). In December 2019 I completed my studies in the aforementioned and obtained the qualification of 3rd Official Engineer.
During the Academy I worked as an Engine Cadet for:
- SIREMAR on board of M / V LAURANA from 25.05.2017 to 03.06.2017, from 15.06.2017 to 17.08.2017 and from 28.08.2018 to 22.10.2018
- CARONTE & TOURIST S.p.a. on board of M / V TREMESTIERI from 19.09.2017 to 14.11.2017, M / V ACCIARELLO from 14.11.2017 to 21.11.2017, M / V CARTOUR DELTA from 17.04.2018 to 18.06.2018;
- GRIMALDI on board the GREAT BRITAIN from 8.12.2018 to 31.03.2019.
Currently from 11.07.2020 I am on board as 3 engineer officer on board the ship GRANDE ELLADE of the GRIMALDI shipping company.
I have all the requirements set out in the STCW Code on the possibility of working on board as a third official engineer on the passenger ship, also I have several necessary certificates such as passport, vaccination against yellow fever, Marlins 91% test and certificates that have expanded my personal background: Surf Lifeguard License, Paratrooper License, Open Water Diver (sub).
